Meeting Day Activities Club members enjoy interesting programs with lectures, workshops, and a variety of club activities at our monthly meetings. Regardless of your quilting experience or interests, you are sure to find something of interest as well as GVQC members who are always willing to enjoy conversation with like-minded quilters.

Block of the Month (9-10AM)

Participants in Block of the Month sign out a block kit which they make and return the next month. The kit contains some of the materials needed to complete the block. Those that return the block the next month are placed in a drawing. Depending on how many blocks are returned, winners of the drawing will receive 3-4 blocks to keep and finish in their own project. Blocks are chosen to allow quilters to learn or refine their skills. Cost to participate is $1 per month.

Fat Quarter Drawing (9-10AM)

Participants turn in one or more fat quarters according to the fat quarter theme for the month. The more you turn in, the more times you ae entered into the drawing. Depending on the number of fat quarters turned in, winners will receive a nice pile of fat quarters.

Comfort Quilt Table (9AM-1PM)

Members visit the Comfort Quilt Table to turn in charity quilts f or the club’s Love and Comfort Quilt Project , fidget quilts and garment protectors ( Fidget Quilt Activity ), and drawstring bags ( P.A.D. Many hands make the task go quickly. A procedure is in place to request this service. Show & Tell (about 10:30am) The most popular and favorite part of GVQC meetings is Show & Tell.
