Community Service

The motto "Help One Another" is a way of life for the members at the GVQC. The club has a long history of providing handmade goods to those in need. Today, these efforts are managed through the Love & Comfort Quilt Project committee.

To ensure that the tradition of quilting is not lost to future generations, the GVQC is actively involved in the restoration and documentation of quilt collections in the Rochester area. The club has provided over 1,000 hours of volunteer assistance to the Susan B Anthony House, Genesee Country Museum and the Rochester Museum & Science Center.

In a recent effort, GVQC has joined forces with the Arts & Cultural Council of Rochester (ACC). GVQC has provided funds to the ACC to create The Fiber Arts Program grant. This program promotes fiber arts in the community.
